Background
Doc Daneeka has once been named “the King of Wales” by US magazine XLR8R. His highly praised Ten Thousand Yen imprint has not only released the fantastic “Deeper” by Benjamin Damage (with production partner Venom), but also glorious singles by XXXY and Julio Bashmore amongst others. The Welshman's been dropping hints of subtle flair ever since his track "Drums in the Deep" appeared on Fabric's Elevator Music back in January 2010, and now with only a handful of remixes and singles under his belt, seems to have hit an early maturity with the release of a full length album.
Together with Benjamin Damage he recorded the album “They! Live”, their first album together. It is a collection of Berlin inspired, UK influenced UK Funky, Deep House, Tech House, Detroit- and Dub-Techno tracks all recorded in Berlin between late August and early November 2011.
